Being connected to the customer’s needs and goals is the key advantage to a successful real estate experience according to Misty Raines. She believes listening, learning, advising, and honest communication allows the customer to feel in charge of their decisions and ultimately empowering their real estate journey.

This is the method that has led to more than seven years as a high performing and decorated real estate agent in the Michael Saunders & Company Englewood office. Having worked on the administrative side of real estate before becoming licensed in 2014, Misty developed an understanding and appreciation for differences in buyers' needs from sellers’ expectations.

Misty has crafted her real estate career to provide distinguished services for her two types of customers. For sellers, she specializes in waterfront, retirement, and second homes, expertly marketing her listings and navigating the many contractual nuances with ease. For buyers, her intimate knowledge of Englewood, North Port, Rotonda West, Venice, and Port Charlotte is put to great use – acclimating her customers to the lifestyle of their dreams with vast insight on the local amenities and flavor of each community. Misty has also furthered her expertise by becoming a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS), certified Sellers Representative and Buyers Agent (SRS & ABR), and has been awarded the 2019-2024 Michael Saunders award, ranked third in the Englewood office, and named WCR Leading Realtor for six years running.

Michael Saunders & Company’s high standards, level of excellence, and community stewardship all directly reflect personal values that connect for Misty. And she personally admires Michael’s class. Misty gives back to her community in several ways, but most notably by being a part of The Center for Abuse and Rape Emergencies (C.A.R.E.), of which she is a board member and active supporter. She also proudly donates her time and resources to the Englewood Historical Museum and several real estate organizations.

Originally from West Texas, Misty loves living along Florida’s southern Gulf where she spends most of her time boating on the water, watching wildlife, fishing, gardening, walking, and exploring Florida. She has been married to her husband, George, for 30 years and they have three adult children — two sons and a daughter — and two grandsons.
